Formed in 1983 when the community was built, the Cascade Village Condominium Association (CVCA) was incorporated as a Colorado non-profit organization and currently serves 125 condominium owner/members.
The association is responsible for managing the affairs of Cascade Village. These include providing maintenance of shared resources, engaging a property manager (currently Durango Mountain Resort), establishing a master insurance policy, and budgeting for the functions for which the association is responsible.
Each year at the annual meeting held over the last weekend in June, association members elect nine board members who serve a one-year term. These board members are assisted by an Architectural Committee whose responsibilities include architectural oversight, review, and recommendations.
The board meets at least monthly, usually by telephone. In addition, the board communicates periodically with association members, sending newsletters and timely information.
